Wird der Biokunststoff heiß? Besteht Brandgefahr?

Der Nuvia ist nur für LED freigegeben – LEDs werden kaum warm. Glühbirnen und Halogen sind ausgeschlossen.

Sieht der Schirm nicht nach Plastik aus?

Jeder Nuvia wird nach der Fertigung von Hand veredelt – matt-organisch statt glänzend. Der PLA-Biokunststoff besteht aus Maisstärke, kein Erdöl-Kunststoff.

Passt er auf meinen Sockel?

E27 ist der Standard-Schraubsockel. Wenn du eine normale Glühbirne wechseln kannst, passt der Schirm.

Will the Nuvia Lampshade fit my existing light fixture?

Yes, the Nuvia lampshade fits any standard E27 pendant light fitting with a screw ring! If you don't have one yet – no problem: A HEMMA fitting (IKEA compatible) with cable and ceiling rose is included in the delivery. So all you need is an LED bulb (E27, max. 15W) and you can get started right away. Installation only takes 2 minutes – plug it in, tighten the lamp holder ring, and you're done!

Which light bulb is best suited for the Nuvia lampshade?

We recommend a warm white LED bulb with an E27 base and a maximum of 15 watts. For cozy, warm light, choose 2700K – this will make the soft, sweeping line shadows particularly beautiful. For more neutral light (e.g., in the kitchen), 4000K is suitable. Tip: A dimmable LED bulb gives you full control over the mood – from dinner atmosphere to workplace lighting! Important: Only use LED bulbs! Incandescent and halogen lamps generate too much heat for the PLA material.

What material is the Nuvia lampshade made of and how do I care for it?

The Nuvia lampshade is made from PLA (polylactide) – a sustainable bioplastic derived from corn starch. PLA is lightweight, robust, and durable. Care is incredibly simple: occasionally dust with a dry or slightly damp cloth – that’s it! No special cleaning agents are needed. The only restrictions: Do not use in wet rooms or outdoors, and do not heat above 60°C (therefore, only LED bulbs!).
